But, in the summer we make sure to leave lots of time for fun.  This July we tried out three different splash pads, one new nature trail,  one new indoor play space, went to Storybook Gardens and ate lots of black raspberries, ice cream and freezies!  But we kept on learning too!

We followed up on our session about heroes by scheduling time with the Red Cross to take the "Stay Safe" course.  Now we feel much more prepared to handle difficult situations.

We also did a literature unit focused on Alice in Wonderland and learned how to code our own video games using Scratch.  On our Presentation Day, parents and friends were invited to try out our video games and see our work.  We had a special guest (from the video game company Blizzard Entertainment) give feedback and try out our games too.  What did we serve our special guests? In honour of the Queen of Hearts we made some tarts to share.
