Our Earth sciences was a fun session! Each student completed projects about the layers of the earth, plate tectonics, earthquakes
and volcanoes according to their interests and abilities. For our presentation day, we wowed our parents and visitors with a science fair style presentation.
There were no vinegar and baking soda volcanoes here, but one student created a working model of a seismograph, several students depicted their understanding of plate tectonics in graphic novel form, and still others wrote reviews of online resources. This was a great unit to learn note-taking skills and how to translate what we learned into products that would help others know more about the Earth.
